The Massive Space Marine 2 Reclamation Update Is Just A Month Away

The Space Marine 2 Reclamation update has its eyes set for a late November release, and fans couldn’t be happier. This update promises to bring many requested features along with an overwhelming amount of other additions. These additions include brand-new content and reworks to previously added content.

Thankfully, Focus Entertainment has gifted the community with the patch notes for the Space Marine 2 Reclamation update. And these patch notes are certainly something; even I was taken aback by how much they contained. So before I explode with excitement, let’s get into what the patch notes for the Space Marine 2 Reclamation update contain.

The Major Additions Of The Space Marine 2 Reclamation Update

With the massive catalog of additions that the Space Marine 2 Reclamation update will bring, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. So let’s start with one of the most significant additions to the Space Marine 2 Reclamation update. In fact, it’s in the name of the update itself, it’s the new PvE operation, Reclamation.

The New Reclamation Operation

This operation tasks your squad with boarding and clearing a Tyranid infestation on an Imperial cruiser in orbit with Avarax. However, as the mission drags on, the objective shifts after learning the cruiser is no longer recoverable. So your squad is then tasked with detonating the ship rather than saving it as planned.

And to help you with this new operation, the Artificers have developed more weapons for you and your battle brothers.

The New Weapons

The Space Marine 2 Reclamation update introduces more heroic weapons and a new piece of equipment. Heroic weapons are usually either side grades or slight upgrades, but they all provide extra utility for the user. The gear in question is as follows:

• The Retribution’s Bequest Heavy Bolt Pistol: This heroic version of the Heavy Bolt Pistol instantly stops the enemy’s attempt at calling reinforcements. The Retribution’s Bequest allows you to stop those pesky reinforcement calls with a single bullet to anywhere on the caller’s body.

• The Chains of Duty Heavy Bolter: This heroic version of the Heavy Bolter increases the perfect parry window by 50%. Not only that, gun strikes instantly cool the weapon down.

• The Wrapped Instigator Bolt Carbine: The Wrapped Instigator Bolt Carbine fires more bullets per burst at a higher fire rate.

• The Wrapped Bolt Sniper Rifle: The Wrapped Bolt Sniper Rifle decreases the magazine and reserve capacity to just three rounds. It also reduces the firepower to just six, but there is a blinding silver lining to these stats. This version of the Bot Sniper Rifle features a 10x headshot multiplier and instantly reloads one round after performing a headshot.

• The Death’s Grasp Power Fist: Performing finishers marks a nearby Majoris or higher enemy with a gun strike. Light attacks also gain 100% more damage, but charged attacks deal 50% less damage.

• The Storm’s Dominion Thunder Hammer: Fully charged attacks leave behind a shock grenade effect.

• The Sanctified Wrath Equipment: This new piece of equipment increases melee damage by 25% for 15 seconds when used. It also pushes enemies in a small radius, and the player is immune to knockbacks when activated.

As powerful as these weapons seem, they’re nothing without the user, and this update adds even more for the user. The Space Marine 2 Reclamation update adds new cosmetic items for players to use to decorate their marines. And that’s what we’ll talk about next.

The New Cosmetics

The Space Marine 2 Reclamation update is also adding new cosmetic packs, which include the long-awaited Blood Angels champion pack. Among the packs is also the Salamanders cosmetics pack, a pack full of cosmetics from the beloved Salamanders chapter. Alongside these packs are also new cosmetics that are earnable with credits earned from the Stratagems game mode.

The Minor Changes Of The Space Marine 2 Reclamation Update

The Space Marine 2 Reclamation update also made minor changes to many weapons and abilities in the game. These changes range from increasing durations by one second to completely reworking an ability as a whole. But some of you may want to try these new features early, and Focus Entertainment has a way for you to do just that.

You can participate in the public test server to try all of these features out, and it’s going on right now. The PTS will last until November 4, 2025, so get in there quickly to purge the heretic with the new content in the Space Marine 2 Reclamation update.
