The focus of the Into the Radius 2 weapon customization update is in the name itself: the weapon customization. Into the Radius 2 now has a modular weapon system that allows for in-depth customization with a wide range of weapons. These customizations also affect how your gun performs, and not just its looks.

The modular weapon system allows you to swap out barrels, handguards, dust covers, pistol grips, and buttstocks. These modular parts enable you to customize your guns to your preferred playstyle. This update also adds the PP-19-01 Vityaz, MP9, Mosin Nagant, Benelli M2, and SR-25, all of which are famous firearms.

The Into the Radius 2 weapon customization update also introduces a mag palming mechanic. Players can hold two magazines in one hand for more efficient reloads. This feature also affects 12-gauge and 7.62x54mmR, as players can now grab two rounds at a time and reload their shotguns or snipers quickly.

Many environments, both interior and exterior, have received a few changes alongside the weapon changes. Players may notice ravines, slopes, dugouts, and many more in previously explored locations around the Radius. The Radius also contains new points of interest for you to explore alone or with a friend.

Several interior locations have undergone slight renovations, featuring more furniture and clutter to make them less empty. The Radius also has new ambient and other environmental noises to improve your already immersive playthrough. And remember to pay attention to these new areas, they could hold many riches and tools for your journey.

The Into the Radius 2 weapon customization update also improves upon the enemy AI, alongside the other changes. Mimics now behave in a much more dynamic way, mimicking what a real human would do in a combat encounter. They also react to your flashlight and laser sights as well, so don’t point them around carelessly.

The Into the Radius 2 weapon customization update establishes a new precedent for the game’s future. Even in its early access state, Into the Radius 2 has already far surpassed its predecessor in complexity. And keep in mind that it’s far from leaving early access either, so imagine what this game will become in its final form.

But don’t daydream too much, the dangers of the Pechorsk anomaly will take advantage of that. So keep your head on a swivel and continue to support the UNPSC in its studies of the Pechorsk anomaly. It’s for the betterment of humanity after all.
