The Guest Checkout Improvement
Prior to the Steam client gifting changes, family members or friends could gift digital gift cards and hardware without needing an account. But with the recent changes, users without a Steam account can now gift games to whoever they’d like. You can also share your wishlist via a link, allowing people to choose what they gift you with your very own wishlist.

The New Gift-To-Email Feature
Gift-to-email allows you to gift someone without asking for their account details, letting you surprise them. Once you send a digital gift card or game to your recipient, they can accept it as they would on Steam. If the recipient’s email matches their Steam account, a link will appear that lets them log in and accept the gift.
The New Cross Region Gifting Improvement
Ever wanted to gift someone from a higher-priced region but had to perform rituals for unknown gods to work around the restriction? Well, thanks to the Steam client gifting changes, you can finally gift your friend from a higher-priced region with ease. Steam will now calculate the cost in your friend’s region at checkout thanks to this change.
The New Direct From Wishlist Gifting Feature
You may have noticed earlier that I said people can gift you directly from your own wishlist, and that’s a part of the new changes. People can gift you digital gift cards and games directly from your wishlist, and they don’t have to be friends with you to do it. Let’s not forget, you don’t need a Steam account to do any of this thanks to guest checkout.
