The Into the Radius 2 1.0 release date appeared on April 1, 2026, the day of fools, which confused many fans, including me. The reveal came in the form of a short video that lasted 30 seconds, and those 30 seconds came packed with details. Some details within the video have never surfaced until now, so fans are surprised to learn of their existence.

While we have discussed what’s coming and what isn’t in the Into the Radius 2 1.0 release, the 1.0 reveal video has shown us much more. These additions will expand the gameplay of Into the Radius 2 further than ever before. So, as I can’t contain my excitement any longer, let’s break down what we can see in the 1.0 reveal video and how they will work in-game.

The Into the Radius 2 1.0 reveal video showcases several previously mentioned features, along with one that was a mystery to everyone. You can see the mentioned features in our previous article about the Into the Radius 2 1.0 release. However, we finally get to see them in action, so let’s start with the upcoming weapon customizations.

The Weapon Customizations

The Grenade Launchers

The first thing you’ll notice in the Into the Radius 2 1.0 reveal video is the new grenade launcher getting attached to the AK-74. The launcher shown in the video seems to be the GP-34, a modernized version of the GP-25, a grenade launcher for the AK family of assault rifles. Semantics aside, the AK’s grenade launcher will fire 40mm grenades regardless of version.

NATO weapons will likely receive their own grenade launchers for the M4, G36, and possibly more. The M4 could utilize either the M203 or M320, a variant of the AG36. The G36, on the other hand, is limited in its grenade launcher selection, as the only grenade launcher the G36 can utilize is the AG36.

The Weapon Camouflage

Weapons are finally getting customization options in the form of camouflage patterns that you apply yourself. From what we can see, you can purchase a stencil for the pattern and a spray paint colour for the colour of the applied pattern. You can apply these stencils and colours to three parts of the weapon: the handguard, receiver, and stock.

You can see the camouflage system in action in the video, with the player using it on the AK-74 and PP-19 Bizon. Hopefully, you can also apply these to your sidearms and other parts of the weapon, such as attachments and pistol grips. However, we’ll have to wait until Into the Radius 2 1.0 releases before we can test how far our creativity can take us.

The Player Customizations

The Clothing Camouflage

Clothes are receiving their own customization options alongside weapons, and they operate on the same system. When 1.0 arrives, you can customize your UNPSC uniform with the same stencil and spray paint items. This customization will allow you to finally differentiate yourself from the friends that you might bring along for the journey into the Radius.

If your group doesn’t want to look unique, then you can all pick the same colour and pattern to blend in as one. So what will it be? Will your group go for individual PMC looks or a uniform squad of tight-knit soldiers?

The Night Vision Goggles

Night vision goggles made an appearance in the final moments of the video, which surprised everyone in the audience. The inclusion of night vision goggles is a first in the Into the Radius series, but it’s definitely a welcome inclusion. The goggles shown in the video are dual-tube night vision goggles.

Unfortunately, we don’t know if night vision monoculars or quad-nods are coming to the game, but here’s hoping that they do.

Is That All In The Into The Radius 2 1.0 Reveal?

The Into the Radius 2 1.0 reveal video comes with one more surprise, and that’s the release date for the 1.0 version. Into the Radius 2 1.0 will release on April 23, 2026. Of course, the development of Into the Radius 2 won’t stop after the 1.0 version release; there’s plenty more to come for the game’s future.

So, until the next update after 1.0 comes out, keep exploring and discovering the secrets of the Radius, Explorers!
