The developers of Void Crew, Hutlihut Games, have teased the upcoming Void Crew update with its contents. Unfortunately, the release date and complete list of contents for the upcoming update haven’t arrived quite yet. But the contents they have revealed in their teaser have piqued the interest of many fans, including me.
Although the amount of revealed contents isn’t more than a handful, it does tease more to come. These upcoming changes may introduce more replayability to Void Crew, something fans have been asking for for some time. So, let’s take a look at the teaser for the upcoming Void Crew update and see the possibilities it might bring.
The Contents Of The Teaser For The Upcoming Void Crew Update

The recent teaser for the upcoming Void Crew update revealed a few additions from its list. And while they didn’t reveal everything, what they did reveal is just as exciting for fans of Void Crew. And the first of these teased contents is the new missions coming in the upcoming Void Crew update.
The New Mission
The teaser mentioned that new missions are coming in the upcoming update, but the developers have only revealed the details of one. These missions also include side objectives, such as the Distress Call side objective that they revealed. During this side objective, you must decide what to salvage from a wreck while the Reclaimer draws near.
More information regarding these possible main and side missions will arrive as we approach the release of the update.
The New Weapon
Unlike the previous teaser, we do know the actual number of weapons added in the upcoming update, and that’d be two. And Hutlihut Games has teased one of these weapons, called the Bestower Flak Cannon. As its name implies, this weapon is an anti-chaff weapon that shreds anything in a close to mid-range distance.
The in-game description for the Bestower Flak Cannon is, “The BESTOWER FLAK CANNON is a Close-to-Mid-Range area denial specialist that turns crowded airspace into a storm of shrapnel. Designed to intercept fast movers and clustered threats, it detonates mid-flight, saturating the target zone with fragmentation bursts.”
The Improved Modding Experience
Surprisingly, the upcoming Void Crew update will include improvements to the modding system for modders. These improvements enhance the system for easier 3D model importing, custom audio, stat modification, and much more. Thus, allowing for custom carryables, relics, cosmetics, and more.
The Hutlihut is also working with the modding community to develop guides for anyone who wants to mod Void Crew. If you’d like an early look at the guides, documentation, and an early version of the modding API, you can sign up here. Unfortunately, they will curate who gets access early before the update, but it will be open to everyone after release.
The New Payload Battery
Among these teased additions is the Payload Battery, a new tool to make your ship even more efficient. Basic missile types now have a recharging cooldown, which allows solo players to keep using them without having to move. Unfortunately, the Void Harbinger is still a disposable missile; we wouldn’t want to have infinite nukes now, would we?
It’s unknown if the Payload Battery is a separate item that you need fabricate yourself or if all applicable missiles have it. What we do know is that the Engineer’s recharge perk makes the Payload Battery recharge faster. Either that, or you can swap missiles to keep throwing missiles at the enemy.
Is That It For The Teaser For The Upcoming Void Crew Update?

The teaser for the upcoming Void Crew update also mentioned that there will be bug fixes and QOL improvements. Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the bug fixes and QOL additions, as they didn’t go any deeper than its mention. So, as sad as it is, that is indeed all we get from the teaser for the upcoming Void Crew update.
However, the additions we did get to see are exciting enough, so as the update draws near, we’ll receive even more news about the update. And when more updates about the upcoming update arrive, you’ll know exactly where to look. So, until then, continue to man your station and drive out the enemies of humanity, Ectype.
