Helldivers 2 Polar Patriots Warbond: Strike With Ice Cold Justice

A showcase of all the content in the Polar Patriots Warbond in Helldivers 2
Reading Time: 3 minutes

The Helldivers 2 Polar Patriots Warbond fought through harsh blizzards and emerged for Helldivers on May 9, 2024. The Polar Patriots Warbond is Helldivers 2’s third premium Warbond, alongside the current 14, discounting the free one. But with its age, is it still effective compared to the more recent Warbonds?

The age of the Helldivers 2 Polar Patriot Warbond becomes clear once you peer into what it provides. The content in question is the lack of new stratagems, armor passives, and titles for your Helldiver. But the content it does provide is still a great contender for the top spot in a Helldiver’s arsenal.

What Is In The Chilly Helldivers 2 Polar Patriots Warbond?

The content within the Helldivers 2 Polar Patriots Warbond may seem quite old and underpowered, but don’t be mistaken. The Polar Patriots Warbond provides even more options for fashion and utility for the Helldivers’, at the time, small armory. The options provided by the Polar Patriots Warbond are:

  • The AR-61 Tenderizer: A robust assault rifle with a restrictive magazine capacity. It features the highest damage in its class, but suffers from a small magazine and feeble light penetration. But with careful aim and stratagems, this rifle will carry you through anything.
  • The SMG-72 Pummeler: An SMG (Submachine Gun) that fires concussive rounds to stagger enemies. In exchange for increased crowd-control effects, the SMG-72 Pummeler suffers from a lower rate of fire and damage. Similar to the other concussive weapons, using this weapon in tandem with teammates and stratagems is advised.
  • The PLAS-101 Purifier: A plasma rifle that fires explosive plasma with the ability to charge shots. The charged shot from the PLAS-101 Purifier deals more damage and has a bigger explosion radius. This weapon can work as a precision rifle and a crowd-control tool when needed.
  • The P-113 Verdict: A semi-automatic sidearm firing a mean medium penetration magnum round. The P-113 Verdict trades a small magazine for a high damage output that could rival the P-4 Senator. Though it doesn’t beat the P-4 Senator in damage and armor penetration, it still can compete with its high fire rate.
  • The G-13 Incendiary Impact: An incendiary grenade with an instant impact fuze. It coats the area in searing hot white phosphorus once triggered. This grenade can swiftly set the ground alight at the cost of reduced explosion damage compared to the G-10 Incendiary grenade.
  • The CW-36 Winter Warrior Heavy Armor: A heavy armor set with the Servo-Assisted armor passive. The Servo-Assisted armor passive gives its user an increased throwing range by 30% and limb health by 50%.
  • The CW-22 Kodiak Heavy Armor: Another heavy armor set, except it features a different armor passive. The CW-22 Kodiak features the Fortified armor passive, which is already available in other armor. This armor’s passive further reduces recoil when crouching or prone by 30% and provides a 50% resistance to explosive damage.
  • The CW-4 Arctic Ranger: A light armor set with the Scout armor passive. The Scout armor passive modifies markers placed on the map to generate radar scans every two seconds and reduces the range that enemies can detect the user by 30%.
  • The Motivational Shocks Booster: A booster that allows all Helldivers to recover faster after being slowed by an attack, such as acid. Sadly, it does not mitigate the area of effects like EMS strikes.

The Helldivers 2 Polar Patriots Warbond may not bring new stratagems or titles, but it still provides many excellent items. And with how limited the Helldivers’ arsenal was at the time, having more options for armor despite the lack of new armor passives was welcomed.

Is The Helldivers 2 Polar Patriots Warbond Still Good?

Although the Helldivers 2 Polar Patriots Warbond is quite old, it still holds some of the best items in the game. For example, it has the most damaging assault rifle in the game and a great sidearm. So, despite the lack of content seen in more modern Warbonds, the Polar Patriots Warbond in Helldivers 2 still holds up.

And with light and medium enemies populating Helldivers 2, the items in this Warbond are perfect for their extermination. So the items of this Warbond certainly hold up even by today’s standards. And with the enemies of humanity appearing every day, what are you waiting for? Arm yourself and get out there, Helldiver!
