EA has just announced Battlefield Labs, their new program allowing players to play-test their upcoming Battlefield game before its official release. After facing quite a backlash from the Battlefield community following the release of Battlefield 2042, Battlefield Studios has decided to let players guide the creation of the next Battlefield game via “pre-alpha” testing.

EA believes that this new initiative is going to avert another situation like Battlefield 2042. Battlefield Labs would open a direct line of communication between the developers and the community, allowing for a more transparent exchange of ideas.

How to Sign Up for Battlefield Labs?

Battlefield Labs is a closed testing environment, which means that only select players will be able to participate in the program. To sign up, one can head to the official playtesting website. Currently, the test is available to North America and Europe. The developer plans to extend to more regions and players in the future. However, EA encourages players to join their official Battlefield Discord as most of the engagement and feedback will take place there.

Battlefield Labs will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The minimum and recommended PC Specs for Battlefield Labs are as follows:
