‘We Are All Locked In’ for the Seventh Episode of Taskmaster Series 19, Here’s What We Know

Taskmaster Series 19 intro
Reading Time: 3 minutes

In the latest episode of Taskmaster Series 19, we are returning with our four British comedians, Fatiha El-Ghorri, Mathew Baynton, Rosie Ramsey, Stevie Martin, and one American counterpart, Jason Mantzoukas, for a series of tasks set by Little Alex Horne, the assistant.

The show is judged by Greg Davies, aka The Taskmaster. The show is on Channel 4 at 10:00 PM BST or on YouTube.

Mathew Baynton Had Fans All Excited About the Prize Task in Taskmaster Series 19

In the first prize task of the episode, the contestants will have to bring in ‘The biggest anticlimax’. We get many disappointing ones like Fatiha’s big ole’ bag of crisps and Stevie’s ornate wooden display box but post Rosie’s ‘drunk salesman’ looking wedding picture with her husband the greatest anticlimax has to be a Mathew Baynton getting in a spoon after his elaborate Rube Goldberg machine story, because it was so believable.

For the first task of the episode, we have to find out what the contents of the yellow box are. The queen that Fatiha is, she discovers the ‘fish’ within a couple of seconds and doesn’t even notice the distracting creatures, such is her laser focus.

But sadly, it’s not the same for Stevie and Rosie, who clocked in the slowest times to complete the task and used all the clues. As for Jason and Mathew, they both read the biggest clue of the numbers ‘44794’ behind the chair but didn’t type them in immediately and decided to follow the other visual clues, such as the bird doing Morse code, or the bear reading the magazine.

A Hilarious Twist Follows on The Second Task

The second task came as the most exciting, wherein the quintet had to write most or least before opening the task, and then found out that they had to eat yogurt with dignity based on the option written.

Except for Mathew Baynton, who quite literally licked the yogurt off the shoes of Alex in the most indignified way rest all chose to eat it in the most dignified way, each one having their interpretation of ‘eating with most dignity’.

We see a classic play of accents in the funny banter between Jason and Alex for the start of the third task wherein they all have to transfer 6 liters of water from Bucket A to B by either using route A which involves a lot of tasks or route B which involved no tasks but a lot of trotting.

Everyone except Rosie and Fatiha chose bucket B and route B, which involved trotting. Everyone chaotically completes the tasks with buckets that have holes in them with only Jason actually finding a loophole in the task and bringing the vase closer to the bucket and pouring water straight up, only to his disappointment when he says ‘I’m eyeballing it’ and Alex reveals the pitiful picture we realize that despite his wonderful strategy, he failed to fill in the six liters leading to disqualification.

Final Task Awaits

For the final live task, the teams Jason and Stevie, along with Rosie, Mathew, and Fatiha, have to get a ball across in the opposite bucket without touching the fence with only the spoons provided. Both teams get a few fails before they get a hang of the task, and at the last moment, the team of two misses the bucket by a few inches and dramatically fails the task.

The episode finale reveal of the scores shows a disappointing 6 points each for Jason and Stevie, with Mathew Baynton winning the episode with 23 points. As we are left with only 3 episodes this season, there seems to be a gut feeling that Mathew Baynton might be winning this season!
