The State of Play 2025 has come, and that means there’s a whole host of PlayStation news and game announcements. And for the State of Play 2025, there’s a staggering total of 13 new games coming to PlayStation. In addition to the games, there are also a couple of new accessories for PlayStation products that might pique your interest.

For those unfamiliar with the State of Play, it’s an event that showcases updates, announcements, and new trailers. It most commonly features games, but displays new pieces of PlayStation technology and accessories sometimes. Now with that in mind, let’s explore what the State of Play 2025 has brought for us.

What The State Of Play 2025 Brings To The Table

With the release of the State of Play 2025 on September 24, it announced a whole catalog coming to PlayStation. These include 17 new games and a couple of exciting accessories coming to the PlayStation platform. Now, let’s get into what the State of Play 2025 brings to the world of PlayStation.

Battlefield 6

Battlefield 6 arrives on PlayStation on October 10 with its extraordinary multiplayer and all-new military thriller single-player campaign. The new Battlefield 6 story sees you step into the boots of Dagger 13 to stop Pax Armata. Switch between members and command the rest of your unit to support you in the fight for global stability.

Chronoscript: The Endless End

Chronoscript: The Endless End sees you navigating a world of pages and ink in an exploration-based 2D action-adventure. You play as an editor trapped in a manuscript of an endless story, who must write its final chapter. Will you find a way out of these infinite pages, or will you be doomed to inhabit these desolate pages forever?

All of this will become your choice sometime in 2026 when Chronoscript: The Endless End releases.

Code Vein II

Code Vein II launches January 30, 2026, as the action RPG sequel of Code Vein, set in a future world in which vampires and humans coexist. Code Vein II sees you venturing out with a mysterious girl who can control time itself to prevent the downfall of the world. So, fans of Soulslikes should keep an eye out for the release of Code Vein II.

Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert launches March 19, 2026, for players to embark on an open-world action-adventure. Crimson Desert sees you playing as Kliff as they set out to reunite his scattered Graymane companions. And in doing so, rally the many forces of Pywel against the evil that threatens the world.

Deus Ex Remastered

The iconic cyberpunk immersive sim returns to our present times with a new remastered look. The original cyberpunk immersive sim returns with updated control schemes and visuals, featuring new lighting, shadows, character models, and more. February 5, 2026, marks the date that Deus Ex Remastered releases to the world.

Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered

The original Dynasty Warriors 3 introduced many of the core staples of this series, such as the officer development system. And on March 19, 2026, it will be reborn on PS5 as Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered. The Dynasty Warriors 3 remaster is built on Unreal Engine 5, featuring numerous enhancements to the visual fidelity.

The God of War 20th Anniversary Limited Edition Controller

Not only does the State of Play feature games, but it also contains other PlayStation announcements. The first PlayStation announcement of the State of Play 2025 is the reveal of the limited-edition God of War DualSense wireless controller. This controller’s design pays homage to Kratos with its legendary ashen skin and scarlet tattoo.

This limited-edition controller is available for pre-order on October 3.

Gran Turismo 7

The Gran Turismo 7 announcement of the State of Play 2025 isn’t about its release or arrival on PlayStation. This announcement reveals the Spec III Update, the most significant update to the title yet, and it’s releasing this December. It includes new features and content, which include two brand-new F1 race circuits, eight new vehicles, circuit experience, data logger features, and more.

Halloween

The spooky day of October 31 comes early to PlayStation on September 8, 2026, as Halloween releases on PS5. Halloween releases with a standalone single-player story and dynamic asymmetrical multiplayer mode. In multiplayer, you play the Boogeyman himself, Michael Myers, or a resident intent on stopping his nighttime rampage.

The single-player story allows players to witness key narrative events of The Night He Came Home through the eyes of Michael Myers. Unfortunately, there isn’t much information about the single-player story mode for Halloween. But stick around for more news as the release of Halloween draws closer by the day.

Last Epoch

Last Epoch is soon to release on PS5, and along with it, the first major expansion, Last Epoch: Oryboss. Last Epoch: Oryboss promises genre-defining skill customization, a rewarding loot system, and all previous seasonal content. And once Last Epoch releases for PS5, players can journey through Eterra, traveling across eras of its history.

Players can experience Last Epoch alone or with up to three companions in online co-op.

Let It Die: Inferno

Let It Die: Inferno is a roguelite survival action game, out December 3, on PS5, where you play as an immortal explorer. Raiders descend and explore the depths of Hell, and as you delve, you will encounter players as well as monsters. Your success and survival will hinge on a strategic combination of unique weapons and special abilities to fend against both encounters.

Wolverine

Wolverine launches on PlayStation 5 sometime in Fall 2026 to deliver an original take on the beloved Marvel character. Wolverine intends to fulfill the ultimate Wolverine fantasy of fast, fluid, and ferocious combat, along with exhilarating action-packed set pieces. Wolverine also aims to tell a gripping story with the most influential comic book characters of all time.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Although not a brand-new game, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 comes to PS5 on December 8. PlayStation players can finally pursue their aviation career with dynamically-generated missions and explore a one-to-one copy of Earth. Players can also enjoy the game in PS VR2 with a free update that will be available in 2026.

Nioh 3

Another entry into the action RPG series makes an appearance, and it’s none other than Nioh 3. Nioh 3 aims to bring the key characters and the gorgeous combat that all Nioh fans are familiar with. And all of this arrives on PS5 on February 6, 2026. 

PlayStation Plus

State of Play 2025 has announced that The Last of Us Part II will be available on PlayStation Plus. Up next is the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup, featuring Alan Wake 2, Goat Simulator 3, and Cocoon, which is available on October 7. Tekken 3, Soulcalibur III, and the PS2 adventure Tomb Raider Anniversary will also come to the PlayStation Plus Premium Classics.

PlayStation Pulse Elevate Wireless Speakers

The next and final announcement for State of Play 2025 is the reveal of the PlayStation Pulse Elevate Wireless speakers. These speakers bring the PlayStation audio and chat experience to your very own desktop. These speakers feature planar magnetic drivers, multi-device connectivity, and PlayStation Link wireless technology.

Saros

From the creators of Returnal comes a new, breathtaking gameplay experience called Saros. Saros is an action-packed third-person roguelike shooter set on a shape-shifting, hostile alien planet named Carcosa. And each time you die, the astral mass known as Carcosa shifts into a new form.

This promising experience comes to PS5 on March 20, 2026.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds welcomes a fan favorite android into its character roster, and it’s none other than Mega Man. And he won’t be alone either, Proto Man will also join the race on a reimagined Dr. Wily’s Castle track from Mega Man 2. The Mega Man DLC will launch early 2026 as part of the Season Pass Digital Deluxe Edition.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin lets you explore the beloved world of the iconic Japanese manga and anime series, The Seven Deadly Sins. This free-to-play open-world RPG features an original story within the kingdom of Britannia. And The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is playable solo or with your favorite friends on January 28, 2026.

Zero Parades – For Dead Spies

Zero Parades – For Dead Spies is a new narrative-first espionage RPG made by the studio behind Disco Elysium, ZA/UM. In Zero Parades – For Dead Spies, you play as Hershel, a clever spy in a world where trust is a premium, betrayal is routine, and failure is inescapable. Zero Parades – For Dead Spies launches in 2026 on PS5.
