A brand new Deadlock update has dropped, and with it came the new Deadlock character, Mina. This update introduces a couple of quality-of-life features, but most importantly, it brings along six new characters. Each character will be released every other day, with the release of each character decided by players themselves.

With the latest Deadlock update on August 19, 2025, players can vote for the next character to be released. These six characters comprise Mina the vampire, Billy the demonic goat, Paige the librarian, Doorman the bellhop, Victor the monster, and Drifter the terror. And the first to release alongside the update is the new Deadlock character, Mina.

The new Deadlock character, Mina the vampire, joins the fight in the streets of the cursed apple. The new Deadlock character, Mina, is a vampiric glass cannon that can quickly escape encounters when things get messy. Mina’s powerful and nimble abilities, and their upgrades, are as follows:

Rake

Mina slashes foes with her umbrella to deal 60 spirit damage, and increases by 3% with the foe’s missing health. Enemies slain by Mina’s Rake will heal her for 30 health. Mina’s Rake is upgradeable for increased damage and healing gained at the cost of AP (Ability Points).

The first upgrade for Mina’s Rake ability increases the amount of health gained from kills with Rake by 20. The second upgrade increases the damage Rake dishes out by 60. And finally, the third upgrade for Rake increases the percentage of missing health damage by 6%.

Sanguine Retreat

Mina briefly transforms into an untargetable swarm of bats that flies 10 meters in front of her. Mina can cast Sanguine Retreat a second time, three seconds after the first cast, to travel another 10 meters. This ability allows the new Deadlock character, Mina, to fly away from combat safely when used.

The first upgrade for Sanguine Retrate lengthens the distance Mina can travel by three meters. Next, the second upgrade temporarily increases Mina’s magazine capacity by eight and her fire rate by 30%. And lastly, the third upgrade decreases the cooldown time for Sanguine Retreat by seven seconds.

Love Bites

Love Bites passively imbues Mina’s bullets and abilities with spirit damage that builds up for bonus spirit damage. Each bullet or ability now deals an additional six spirit damage on top of its damage. And once Love Bites procs for its bonus spirit damage, it will then deal 45 spirit damage.

The first upgrade enhances Mina’s movement speed by four meters per second for three seconds when Love Bites procs. The second increases the spirit damage by four and bonus spirit damage by 55. The third and final upgrade lowers the cooldown time of Love Bites on the affected target by three seconds.

Each proc of Love Bites also increases the number of bats called upon during the use of Nox Nostra by two.

Nox Nostra

When using the Nox Nostra ultimate ability, Mina calls upon a cauldron of bats to seek out her enemies. Nox Nostra summons 75 bats at 30 bats per second and deals six spirit damage for each bat. Upon hitting the enemy with a bat, they are silenced and cannot use any of their abilities for 1 second.

The first upgrade for Nox Nostra increases the damage done by each bat by two. The next upgrade in line decreases the cooldown of Nox Nostra by 40 seconds. The final upgrade increases the damage of Nox Nostra by 1% based on enemy health.

And these abilities can grow even stronger with the inclusion of items from the Curiosity Shop. So with the right build, the new Deadlock character, Mira, might become a cannon made of steel instead. But that is up to you to find out, create your own build, and come out on top in the big bad apple.

Should You Use The New Deadlock Character Mina?

The new Deadlock character, Mina, is a nimble harasser with excellent burst damage, especially with her Love Bites passive ability. And with the cards in her deck, you can build her however you want, and many already have. So if you don’t want to take the time to make your own build, you may also use builds published by other players.

So get ready to shake up the vampiric hierarchy and show the streets of the cursed apple who’s boss. Show those who wronged you their mistakes as the future viscount of New York, the new Deadlock character, Mira the vampire.
