Arrowhead has bestowed us the Unjust 4.1.0 patch out of the blue, and we have never been so back. The Helldivers 2 have patiently waited for this patch for weeks, even after several delays and hiccups. In fact, the community was expecting another delay as Arrowhead stated that it was due to a certification issue.
But surprisingly enough, Arrowhead released the Unjust 4.1.0 patch just a day after their delay announcement on October 23, 2025. This sudden release shocked the entire community, even me, and they’re excited more than ever to find out what the patch contains. So let’s tear into the wrappings of this present and see what this patch contains before I explode with excitement!
What The Unjust 4.1.0 Patch Accomplishes

Arrowhead states that the purpose of the Unjust 4.1.0 patch is to make Helldivers 2 feel better to play. The latest patch accomplishes this by fixing the constant crashing and freezing that have plagued the game. Alongside that, the Unjust 4.1.0 patch squashes over 200 bugs, optimizes the game, and also decreases the game size, albeit slightly.
The Unjust 4.1.0 patch also includes quite a handful of balance updates and quality of life additions. Many primaries, sidearms, and throwables have received several improvements to increase their overall effectiveness. A personal favorite change of mine is that melee weapons are sidearms, so they’ve also received some buffs.
The improvements don’t stop there, since light penetration also received a buff to compete with medium and heavy penetration. Light penetration weapons now do more damage against durable body parts with the Unjust 4.1.0 patch. Thus, letting light penetration not be outshone by its heavier penetration brothers.
Stratagems also got to join the buffing party alongside the standard weapons of the Helldivers. The majority of these changes affect support weapons such as the Epoch, which can now destroy bug holes at full charge. However, some of these changes also affect other stratagems, such as the Patriot Exosuit receiving better missiles and more minigun ammo.
Enemies have also received some scrutiny with the Unjust 4.1.0 patch; not only that, the Rupture Strain enemies also make a return. But don’t worry, the Rupture Strain has been toned down for a more balanced gameplay experience. One of the changes made to enemies in the Unjust 4.1.0 patch includes the Fleshmob having its heads as weak spots now.
Is The Unjust 4.1.0 Patch The Pièce De Résistance?

Many fans in the community assume that the Unjust 4.1.0 patch is the end-all for optimization and balancing. But it’s just the start, as Arrowhead has stated that this patch is just a step in the right direction. In fact, further refinements are being planned and developed as of the writing of this article.
But now that many of the issues that plagued Helldivers 2 are now squashed, it’s time to wake up from cryosleep, Helldiver. It’s time to put on that patriotic cape back on and show those dissidents the true way of life. Show them that anyone who stands in the way of managed democracy will feel its rightful wrath!
