The Helldivers 2 Factory Strider first appeared on April 1, 2024, in rare quantities, making encounters few and far between. These rare encounters led to found-footage-like sightings from players, making some believe Factory Striders were fake. But on April 9, 2024, Factory Striders began rolling out on every Automaton battlefield for all to see.
The towering Helldivers 2 Factory Strider marches through the battlefield with a self-produced entourage. It shreds anything in its path with its powerful weaponry and creates Devastators via a fabricator in its body. With such a powerful foe, how can the Helldivers possibly destroy this malevolent machine?
The Weakness Of The Helldivers 2 Factory Strider
As mentioned, the Helldivers 2 Factory Strider boasts some powerful weaponry and a fabricator within itself. The weapons in question are its dual chin-mounted Gatling guns and a mighty cannon on top of its body. In addition to its weapons and durability, the Factory Strider also produces a squad of Devastators with its integrated fabricator.
But like any other enemy of democracy, the Factory Strider has its weaknesses. For example, medium penetration weapons can destroy the chin-mounted guns, and anti-tank weapons can also destroy the cannon. But eliminating its weapons won’t stop it from stomping out the flames of freedom.
So to stop the war-torn path of the Helldivers 2 Factory Strider, you must destroy the malicious machine itself. But how do you take out the armor of this behemoth and stop it from ruining our way of life? Anti-tank weapons like the Recoilless Rifle will come to mind, but how do you use them effectively?
The Factory Strider has many parts that make up its whole, but you’ll only need to focus on a few. First, the armored head of the Automaton Factory Strider can render it dead if destroyed. The head itself can take two Recoilless Rifle shots, but if you target its glowing eye, it can take one.
Second, the Factory Strider’s underbelly is vulnerable to even medium penetration weapons. If you don’t have any anti-tank weaponry, you can use a medium penetration weapon to destroy it. Of course, remember to mind the chin-mounted guns and the Devastators that march out of its fabricator.
And finally, the less optimal weaknesses of the Factory Strider, such as the neck and the front and rear engine segments. These weaknesses aren’t the best to target since they’re relatively small, but they can be rewarding. These are the riskiest options, but they do offer an instant elimination with a Recoilless Rifle.
Don’t Fear The Helldivers 2 Factory Strider
The Helldivers 2 Factory Strider has struck fear into citizens and Helldivers of Super Earth alike. But now, with the knowledge of its critical weaknesses, fear shall not spread further. But don’t think that the Factory Strider is no longer a threat; it still demands respect.
With that said, the Recoilless Rifle is an outstanding weapon to use, and some would argue it’s the best. But that doesn’t mean you must use it; you can still use the other anti-tank options to great effect. So arm yourselves with the means to combat the Automaton’s armor and press on, Helldiver!
