The Grounded 2 Toxic Tangle playtest server features a massive amount of new and old content. But we’ll focus on the upcoming features and content first; they are the highlight of the Toxic Tangle update after all. The first of these additions is the upcoming map area of Grounded 2, the community garden.
The community garden is full of vegetables and flowers, but it’s also full of threats for our unfortunate teens. The garden will also have new quests for you to complete, taking you through anthills, labs, and ranger outposts. Not only that, you might encounter a foe you’ve fought once before, the Masked Stranger.
Though, before you fight the Masked Stranger in their boss arena, you might want to explore other places first. And if you happen to come across the Croquet Court near the outside wall of the garden, you might encounter a new snake colossus. The snake colossus is the largest anyone has ever seen, so prepare for the fight accordingly.
You can prepare for the fight with the new and returning armor and weapons. And your combat capabilities don’t stop there, as the Ladybug Buggy makes its appearance. These tanky beasts can rush into battle and take all of the hits; not only that, but the Ladybug Buggy also comes equipped with a water cannon.
Though if playing the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids version of Shadow of the Colossus, then there’s something just for you. The Grounded 2 Toxic Tangle playtest server also features a few new buggies to fight. These new dangerous critters include the Cricket, Earwig, Wasp, and many more.
How Do I Join The Grounded 2 Toxic Tangle Playtest Server?
Players on console and PC can join the Grounded 2 Toxic Tangle playtest server. Xbox players must download the Xbox Insider Hub before opening it and navigating to the preview tab. Once there, you must select the Grounded 2 Public Test option, and you can play the playtest after that.
PC players who use the Microsoft Store can repeat the previous steps, but Steam users have a different method. Steam users must access the properties tab of Grounded 2 and click on the beta tab to select the playtest. After Steam downloads the appropriate files, Steam users can try out the Grounded 2 Toxic Tangle playtest server.
As with any other playtests, bugs are bound to show up, and not the creepy crawly ones. When you spot a bug or something that doesn’t seem quite right, report it to the developers so they can fix it. Now get out there and show those creepy crawlies whose boss!
