Another update has arrived for our miniature teens, and it’s the Grounded 2 Beat the Heat update. This update introduces a community-requested threat for our teens to face, a community-requested addition, and an expansion for the park where the teens reside. And the fun doesn’t end there; this update also includes a seasonal event for the teens.

The Grounded 2 Beat the Heat update arrived today, April 15, 2026, and it’s yet another massive update. Because of its size, we’ll only mention the major additions of this patch; going into details would take forever. So, let’s shrink down and go through the details of the latest update for Grounded 2.

The Contents Of the Grounded 2 Beat The Heat Update

The Grounded 2 Beat the Heat update is quite the big one with its new boss fight, bug upgrade system, and more. As mentioned, we’ll list the major additions to the game rather than everything in the latest update, as much as I’d love to. And the first thing we’ll discuss on our list is the new boss, the King Dozer.

The King Dozer Boss

While exploring the flourishing environment of Brookhollow Park, you may encounter a scaly new creature. And that would be the King Dozer, a massive horned lizard that the developers claim to be the most dangerous threat yet. So, you’ll have to prepare and come strapped to the nines with gear to have a hope of beating the King Dozer.

Of course, its difficulty doesn’t come unrewarded, as you’ll gain a whole lot of goodies when beating this lizard. Players can use the King Dozer’s scales to craft new weapons and armor that would strike fear into any foe, human or bug. You may also use its other drops to produce some sick new furniture and trophies to show off the results of your lizard hunt.

Buggy Progression

With the introduction of a new threat in the Grounded 2 Beat the Heat update comes a new way to upgrade your pets. With the new buggy progression system, you can upgrade your buggies to go along with your character builds. You can upgrade them by using Moldy Milk Molars to increase health, damage, and effectiveness.

While upgrading them, you may mutate them by accident, or on purpose, but don’t worry, this isn’t the bad kind of mutation. Some mutations will always be active depending on the creature, and some will only activate from your actions. And you can buff your bugs even further with the Buffin’ Barrel, allowing you to take your bugs even further.

By using the Buffin’ Barrel, you can evolve your buggy to the next tier so that it stays right beside you, no matter what level you are. Your buggy will increase its power, broadening what it can gather when it evolves to the next tier. So, if you want to keep your buggy by your side throughout your journey, you’d better treat your buggy well with upgrades.

The Park Expansion

With the growing threats and strengths of the Grounded 2 Beat the Heat update comes a growing park. While journeying through the park, you’ll encounter new points of interest across the park, including the new Sinkhole Anthill. However, the anthill isn’t the only thing new, so keep your eyes peeled for the new POIs around the area.

These new areas may also contain new creatures, resources, and gear for you to acquire; however, don’t think you can grab them that easily. While searching for the new POIs, you can expect to encounter OGRR creatures in the picnic and garden areas. So, if you have been there before, stay on your toes, because that area isn’t what you remember.

Is That All For The Grounded 2 Beat The Heat Update?

The Grounded 2 Beat the Heat update features a whole lot more for the game than what we listed here. It offers a staggering list of adjustments, bug fixes, and changes. Although we did forget to mention one thing in the latest update, and that’s the Easter seasonal event happening right now.

During this event, you’ll find Easter eggs strewn about the park that contain sugary marshmallows for you to claim. You can use these marshmallows in new Ranger Station recipes to create either sugar rush inducing s’mores or a chair made out of marshmallows. If you do make that chair, you may want to keep it far away from anthills.

Aside from the Easter event, that is indeed all for the Grounded 2 Beat the Heat update. So, go ahead and miniaturize and experience the new patch for yourself; new adventures await!
