And you can do this with your trusty six-shooter, along with frighteningly powerful spells that you can conjure with your very hands. The Far Far West Playtest 2 And Its Contents

The Far Far West playtest 2 started on January 8, 2026, and will end on January 16, 2026. The second playtest features everything from the first playtest and much more. These include a brand new map, new methods of absolutely destroying your bounties, a new boss, and new side objectives.
Let’s start with the first on the list of new content in the Far Far West playtest 2. And that would be the new map up in the cold far north, the Far Far North map. Unlike the familiar dusty and sandy landscape of the Far Far West, the Far Far North is a snowy, icy, and shiny landscape that you can discover by finding mysterious trains on several other maps.
While you and your band of bounty hunters explore the Far Far North, you might come across the newly added main and side objectives. These objectives that you’ll encounter are the Drill & Payload main objective and the Gold Magnet side objective. After completing these objectives, you’ll move on to the boss stage, where you may encounter the new boss.
The new boss of the Far Far West playtest 2 is the Haunted Saloon, and you heard that right, a haunted saloon. Will you be fighting the Haunted Saloon’s ghoulish inhabitants, or maybe its vengeful furniture? Well, all of those are wrong as you’ll be fighting the entire saloon itself, Monster House style.
And you can do this with the brand new weapons and abilities added in the Far Far West playtest 2. You and your fellow bounty hunters can use the Boomerang and Sheriff Star to drag those banditos back to town. The Boomerang damages and returns to the user when thrown, and the Sheriff Star slices through any enemy in its way.
Alongside the new boss, objectives, weapons, and abilities, the UI is also getting a revamp. The revamped UI has improved accessibility, readability, and visual fidelity. For example, the contract selection screen has transformed into a world map with infinite scalability and way more details.
The save system has also received some updates to allow infinite scalability for long-term updates and additional content. The new save system should allow for saving across upcoming playtests; however, it is an early iteration, so keep an eye out for bugs. As always, once you spot said bug, you should report it to the developers for them to fix.
If all of that isn’t enough for you, you can also enable modifiers for your contracts before you depart for the hunt. You can add modifiers to your missions via the world map. Similar to other games, adding more modifiers to your missions grants you more exp and fond memories with your friends upon completion.
