The wipe will arrive with the beginning of Marathon Season 2: Nightfall on June 2, 2026, which is less than three weeks away. And during the last weeks of the first season, all chaos is going to break out with the End of Season update, coming next Tuesday. But after that, the wipe will be upon all of us, so let’s see what’s going to stay and go with the wipe.

What Will Stay

We’ll start with what will stay in your account with the wipe coming in Marathon Season 2: Nightfall. Some of these may seem obvious, but others aren’t, so it’s nice of Bungie to make things clear for their players. The things that will stay in your account when the wipe comes in Marathon Season 2: Nightfall are as follows:

  • Cosmetics and weapons unlocked and redeemed during Season 1
  • Codex challenges, including partial progress, except for Runner and Ranked levels, which include:
    • Combat
    • Feats
    • Loot
    • Map
    • Runner
    • Title
  • Each faction that you’ve unlocked by completing their Liaison Contracts, so you won’t have to complete them again
  • Completion status of the first contract for each faction stays untouched
  • LUX and SILK balances
  • Rewards Pass progress

What Won’t Stay

Now that we know what will stay, it’s time to take a look at what won’t stay in your account with the Marathon Season 2: Nightfall wipe. As mentioned before, some of these are rather obvious to some, but it’s still nice that Bungie cleared things up with their player base. The things that won’t stay in your account when the wipe happens are as follows:

  • Runner Level
  • Ranked Level
  • Faction Level and Upgrades
  • Credits and other currencies, except for LUX and SILK
  • All items in your inventory and Vault
  • Purchases unlocked by Schemas
  • Messages, rewards, and returned items in your Mailbox
  • Priority Contracts, except for the first contract for each faction
  • Gear-granting seasonal Codex entries for Runner level and Ranked level
