A new hero is on the horizon, and it’s none other than Sierra in Overwatch, the latest DPS hero in the hero roster. She is to arrive on April 14, 2026, with the release of Season Two of Overwatch, and you can try her out the moment she arrives in the hero roster. But you certainly won’t have to wait until then to see what she has to offer with her kit.

Sierra in Overwatch will arrive as the 24th DPS hero in our favorite hero shooter, and she certainly won’t be the last. She will come equipped with several powerful abilities that become even more powerful with her perks, but you’ll have to perform well with her to acquire them. Now, let’s take a look at what she’s bringing onto the battlefield before she arrives.

The Kit Of Sierra In Overwatch

Sierra in Overwatch features a kit comprising abilities solely focused on dealing damage, since she’s a DPS hero. We’ll go in the order of her primary weapon, abilities, ultimate, subrole, and finally, her perks. So, without further ado, let’s begin with the primary weapon of Sierra in Overwatch, the Helix Rifle.

The Helix Rifle

The Helix Rifle is Sierra’s fully automatic projectile rifle that she uses as her primary weapon. The Helix Rifle fires in a spiral pattern from its two barrels, which progressively become more accurate the longer you fire. And since it’s a projectile weapon, you’ll have to lead your shots quite a bit from a distance, but one of Sierra’s abilities will help with that.

Sierra’s Abilities

Her first ability, Tracking Shot, fires a dart that marks an enemy for the Helix Rifle to lock onto automatically. Her second ability, Anchor Drone, allows Sierra to launch a drone that she can use to propel herself to its location. Her final ability, Tremor Charge, sees her throw an explosive that unleashes a forward-facing shockwave when impacting the ground.

Sierra’s Ultimate

The most powerful ability in Sierra’s kit is her ultimate, Trailblazer, which enables her drone to swap to offensive actions. When activated, Sierra in Overwatch launches her drone above the battlefield before it flies forward to carpet an area with explosives. After a short delay, the carpeted explosives will detonate and render anyone in the area less than alive.

Sierra’s Subrole and Perks

The subrole of Sierra in Overwatch is the Recon subrole, which allows her to spot half-health enemies through walls when damaging them. Sierra’s subrole will allow her to decide whether to pursue an enemy or to let them go. Sierra also features some perks in her kit; these perks make her even more powerful, if you can reach the required level, that is.

The perks for Sierra in Overwatch are as follows:

  • Sierra’s Minor Perks:
    • Full Flight: The Full Flight perk increases the range that her drone flies and the range that she can grapple from by 25%.
    • Tight Grip: The spread of the Helix Rifle tightens 100% faster, and it widens 30% slower.
  • Sierra’s Major Perks:
    • Medi-Drone: With the Medi-Drone perk, Sierra’s Anchor Drone now holds a small health pack for her when deployed.
    • Locked In: The Locked In perk increases Sierra’s attack speed by 20% for two seconds after firing her tracking dart.
