Dead by Daylight on Game Pass has become a frequent query from fans. The game can be purchased on almost any platform, with crossplay being allowed as well. The community grows every day. It makes sense, as over the last nine years, it’s added horror icons from movies to video games.

It grew very quickly, as its new take on a PvP game took the industry by storm, causing games to follow. How did it grow so quickly, and why did most of the players come from Xbox at the time?

Is It Worth Getting Dead by Daylight On Game Pass?

After three years of the game being out, Behavior Interactive added Dead by Daylight to Game Pass. This was a huge risk, as the game wasn’t as popular as it could be, so it was possibly a waste.

This proved to be wrong, as its small space and icons in-game made many give it a chance. This caused a massive influx of players, causing the count from Xbox to break the overall player count at the time.

This encouraged the devs to work harder, adding new updates and changes that would help new players without harming old players. They still work hard to this day, but people are asking if it’s worth the space and money for DLCs now.

Going from below twenty-five gigabytes to fifty-one gigabytes makes update times massive, worse for those who don’t have great internet. What doesn’t help either is the amount of DLC that people may get.

While people don’t need to get every DLC, perks are locked behind a character. Hence, the paywall. This means that during periods of buffs and nerfs, they will end up with pay-to-win perks, which everyone hates already.

This doesn’t mean every DLC is like this. As non-licensed characters can be bought with free currency. This means that both sides can get some great perks after playing for some time and some grinding.

This isn’t all, as the developers realized that it may take too much grinding, so every event, some characters become free to use! This allows players to level up and get used to a character before choosing if it’s worth the grind or not.

The prices for paying are also not too much. Often go for five to twelve USD, and go on sale often. This means that even if players don’t get it at launch, they most likely get it later.
