The Helldivers 2 Freedom’s Flame Warbond arrived with a scorching trail of fire behind it. And with its arrival, on August 8, 2024, came new ways to ignite the flames of freedom and drive out the dark forces of tyranny. But can you handle the intense heat of the Freedom’s Flame Warbond, or will you be left charred?
The Freedom’s Flame Warbond has a not-so-secret theme of fire, with items featuring incendiary weapons and cosmetics to match. This Warbond is a perfect match for those who love the FLAM-40 Flamethrower, Eagle Napalm Airstrike, and Orbital Napalm Barrage. And luckily, this Warbond also features armor to protect yourself from the careless use of fire.
The Smoking Hot Items In The Helldivers 2 Freedom’s Flame Warbond

The Helldivers 2 Freedom’s Flame Warbond gives Helldivers several new fire-themed items. These include new weapons, boosters, and armor to protect Helldivers from the effects of the flames. These items include:
- The SG-451 Cookout: A pump-action shotgun that fires shells filled with phosphorus. Each phosphorus shell lights any enemy ablaze, and with 16 shells when fully loaded, that’s a lot of democratic flame. And like other pump-action shotguns in-game, it’s capable of loading rounds individually.
- The FLAM-66 Torcher: A more lightweight and compact version of the FLAM-40 Flamethrower. The FLAM-66 Torcher performs exactly like its bigger brother, since it uses fire as its projectile. The only difference between the two is that the FLAM-66 Torcher has higher ergonomics and slightly smaller ammo capacity.
- The P-72 Crisper: A compact sidearm flamethrower for quick streams of fire. And since the P-72 Crisper has the smallest fuel capacity, it means that it isn’t the best at outright killing enemies. So the P-72 Crisper is more of a utility item, for quickly setting the ground or enemies ablaze, rather than a proper weapon.
- The I-102 Draconaught: A medium armor set featuring the Inflammable armor passive. This armor set protects you from the fire that you or your teammates will be spewing with the weapons of this Warbond.
- The I-09 Heatseeker: A light armor set with the Inflammable armor passive. It provides the same elemental protection from fire, but it also gives you extra mobility at the cost of protection.
- The Inflammable Armor Passive: The Inflammable armor passive provides 75% damage resistance to fire and burning.
- The Firebomb Hellpod Booster: The Firebomb Hellpod booster lines all Hellpods with volatile materials that detonate upon impact. Igniting any units in the vicinity of the drop site on top of the damage the hellpod does upon landing.
Other than the weapons and armor, this Warbond also has cosmetics, vehicle skins, a title, and emotes. But the primary focus is indeed the blazing heat of the weapons and the armor to protect Helldivers from its effects. And with the new additions to the burning arsenal, Helldivers can finally take a complete fire loadout, complete with stratagems.
Does The Helldivers 2 Freedom’s Flame Warbond Live Up To Its Name?

Although the Helldivers 2 Freedom’s Flame Warbond brings additions to a niche weapon type, it brings great armor for fire. So if you don’t like fire weapons, which is rather undemocratic of you, there is still a good reason to acquire this Warbond. For example, the Automaton Hulk and the Incineration Corps use fire as their main weaponry.
Along with your teammates using the many fire stratagems carelessly, or you being unobservant, the fire armor will come in handy. And as the enemies of humanity taint our lands with their filth, we must purge it all with Freedom’s Flame. So arm yourselves, Helldiver, and torch the enemies with all of your democratic might!
