Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, both written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge, ran from 2016 to 2020. The story is set in early 20th-century Japan. While demons have existed for generations, it only struck Tanjiro when the worst happened. The 13-year-old boy witnessed his family being massacred and his sister turning into a demon.

Fueled by the determination to protect his sister and others from the same fate, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps. This organization of swordsmen hunts demons, with the immediate goal of defeating the demon king, Muzan Kibutsuji.

The anime adaptation of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba was produced by Ufotable. It began airing on April 6, 2019, in Japan. It has mainly been a TV series, with the only exception being Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, a movie adaptation. After Season 4, Infinity Castle, the final arc, is being adapted into three big theatrical films. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle is the first one of the trilogy.

English Dub Voice Cast

The main hero, Tanjiro, is voiced by Zach Aguilar, and his sister Nezuko by Abby Trott. The Demon Slayer leaders are played by Johnny Yong Bosch, Erica Harlacher, Ray Chase, Griffin Burns, and Kira Buckland. Muzan, the main villain, is voiced by Greg Chun.

Channing Tatum and Rebecca Wang are introduced as the two new voice actors. They will play the characters Keizo and Koyuki, specifically connected to a demon’s backstory. Some fans were surprised to see Hollywood actors like Channing Tatum brought into the cast, since anime dubs usually rely on professional voice actors.

It’s never too late to start if you haven’t caught up with its previous releases. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is the final arc; don’t miss out on the global phenomenon.
