The Beloved Dark Souls Narrator started her journey with the first game in the franchise. She was born on September 15th, 1944, to Malayan Chinese parents in the Japanese-occupied Penang state of Malaysia. From a young age, she discovered her passion for acting and the desire to pursue it as a career.

Against all odds and her family’s wishes, she took her whole life and moved to the United Kingdom in 1961 at the age of 16, to study at the London School of Dramatic Art.

In 1964, she appeared in her first role as a nurse in the hospital drama series Emergency Ward 10. Moreover, she has also appeared in notable series like Doctor Who (1971), Mind Your Language (1977-1979), and Johnny English Reborn (2011). Her career has spanned more than thirty acting roles in her career.

Her role in the Dark Souls series as the narrator is the most remembered by the player base. Although in both games she only had just shy of 4 minutes of screen time, she captured the essence and the feel of the game in its opening minutes perfectly.

Her delivery of each line of the introduction gave a sense of weight and impending hardships beautifully. Each word lingered for the perfect amount of time it deserved to create such a sense of mystery, fitting for the gameplay of the RPG.
