The Plot
The events of Jurassic World: Rebirth take place 5 years after Jurassic World Dominion (2022). The dinosaurs that are left now live in tropical and equatorial regions. Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson), Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey), and Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali) go on a covert operation. Their job is to collect DNA from the largest land, sea, and air dinosaurs. This is for the potential cure of a disease.
While on a mission, they encounter a civilian family by the name of Delgados. The family was stranded by aquatic dinosaurs. The group uncovers an old InGen site where mutated dinosaurs are kept that didn’t make it to Jurassic World. D-rex, which stands for Distortus Rex, A six-limbed mutated T-rex, is the main antagonist of the movie.
The Cast
The cast of the movie is star-studded and consists of Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett (covert ops leader), Jonathan Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis (Paleontologist), Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid (Black-ops veteran), Rupert Friend as Martin Krebs (Big Pharma Representative), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda as the Delgados family.
There will be no returning characters from earlier instalments. However, Bryce Dallas Howard has expressed interest in being in the future instalments.
The Score
The score for the movie was composed by Alexandre Desplat who is well known for Godzilla (2014) and Fantastic Mr.Fox (2009). Alexandre is a maestro and knows very well how to compose tracks for blockbusters.
