Reading Time: 3 minutes

The Helldivers 2 6.3.0 update arrived a couple of days ago on June 16, 2026, and fans are excited, even the more critical fans. The 6.3.0 update introduces a massive balancing sweep and sets the groundwork for important features. And because of the number of balancing changes, I wanted to cover the features instead.

The features introduced in the Helldivers 2 6.3.0 update range from major to minor, and I’ll mark them accordingly. The major ones are probably what you’re here for, so I’ll mention those first, but I’ll also mention the minor ones. A few people have waited for these minor additions for some time, so let’s get to it.

The Major And Minor Features Of The Helldivers 2 6.3.0 Update

As mentioned, the Helldivers 2 6.3.0 update includes both major and minor additions that we’ll cover. We’ll start with the major additions first, as they are the start to something greater, as part of Arrowhead’s plan to improve the game. With that said, let’s get into the major additions first before we head towards the minor ones.

The Major Additions Of The Helldivers 2 6.3.0 Update

The Galactic Campaign System

The promised Galactic Campaign system has arrived, and it’s a promising start for this new system. You may have already read about what the new Campaign system has to offer from Arrowhead’s own article or mine from a short while ago. But if you haven’t, I’ll give you a quick rundown of the new system.

The new Galactic Campaign system expands the simple Major Order system of the past into something more. Now, instead of a one-and-done Major Order with a rare follow-up Major Order, it’s a system of back-to-back Major Orders. And these Major Orders all connect, and they will have follow-up campaigns once the story calls for it.

But you might be saying, “I can only see the old Major Order system in the game, so where’s the new Galactic Campaign system?” Well, you can see this new system in action thanks to the terminal next to your armory in your ship before you reach the war map. Yes, you heard me right, the terminal that didn’t serve a purpose for the longest time now has one.

The Control Center Terminal

The Helldivers 2 6.3.0 update finally introduces a function to the terminals on the opposite side of your armory terminal. This Control Center terminal is where you’ll go for briefings, ongoing updates, and debriefings on current Campaigns and the Major Orders in those Campaigns. In addition to that, you can also read up on past Campaigns.

However, because Campaigns have only arrived with the Helldivers 2 6.3.0 update, past Campaigns will only appear from now on. So, despite the past Campaigns tab appearing barren at the moment, that will change as the first Campaign comes to a close. And for those of you who are observant, I did indeed say past Campaigns tab.

The Control Center terminal features the Overview, Active Campaign, and Past Campaigns tabs. The Overview tab explains the current Campaign with a short rundown of what it is and what’s at stake. The Active Campaign tab goes into detail about the current Major Order for the active Campaign.

The Minor Additions Of The Helldivers 2 6.3.0 Update

The New Fall Forest Biome

A new biome type has arrived, a beautiful fall forest full of orange and yellow leaves and healthy trees ripe for chopping. This biome may leave you a little more star-struck than usual; it may even tempt you into enjoying its scenery for more than 2.4 seconds. But if that happens, then you must remember your most patriotic duty as a Helldiver!

The Bastion Tank Destroyer Patterns

Bastion mains rejoice, as the Helldivers 2 6.3.0 update finally gives us the patterns we’ve patiently waited for. You can now apply every single vehicle pattern that you’ve unlocked via the various Warbonds onto your Bastion. Unfortunately, several people have reported that certain patterns aren’t appearing in the selection, so let’s hope this gets fixed soon.

Is That All For The Helldivers 2 6.3.0 Update?

Thankfully, no, that isn’t all for the Helldivers 2 6.3.0 update, as there are two new FRVs for us to cover on a future date. Besides the mentioned features, a massive list of balancing changes, and FRVs, that is indeed all for now, at least. These new systems will grow with time, so cross your fingers and hope Arrowhead keeps this up.

Until then, you’ve got a whole new update to try out, so shake off that frostbite and get in that Hellpod, Helldiver!
