It’s the start of 2026, and Deep Rock Galactic Season 6 is just around the corner. It’s been ages since the last Deep Rock Galactic update on June 13, 2024, but we won’t have to wait for much longer. Deep Rock Galactic Season 6 will release on January 29, 2026, for PC, and January 12, 2026, for console.
Deep Rock Galactic Season 6 offers players a new mission type, biome, enemies, and a cosmetic DLC pack. While the complete details of Deep Rock Galactic Season 6 aren’t known, what we do know is exciting enough. So, let’s dig into the contents of the new season and see what they have in store for the miners on Hoxxes.
The Contents Of Deep Rock Galactic Season 6
Deep Rock Galactic Season 6 contains many exciting new features and content for the miners of Hoxxes. Players might notice a running theme with the upcoming update; it belongs in a museum, some might say. The theme of Season 6 revolves around archeology and the ancient artifacts you might find while out in the field.
One of the contributions to this theme is the upcoming mission type called Heavy Excavation. In the mission, you and your team, who are most likely drunk, must pursue and excavate precious Resinite Mass deposits in the soil of Hoxxes. After finding them, you must excavate them and call down extractors to send the deposit spacewards.
While in the Heavy Excavation mission, you might notice that your surroundings are very different. And that’d be the new biome you and your team will be exploring, called the Ossuary Depths biome. The Ossuary Depths are chock-full of ancient, albeit dusty, bones of the bygone creatures of Hoxxes.
But ancient bones aren’t dangerous to any dwarf, except as a tripping hazard; it’s the new enemy type coming with the approaching update. Deep Rock Galactic Season 6 introduces a terrifying species called the Ossirans. Alongside the usual bugs, Ossirans will join the enemy roster to disrupt the operations of Deep Rock Galactic.
From what we could gather from the teaser image, the Ossirans feature flying, scuttling, and subterranean enemies. Unfortunately, not much else is known about these Ossirans, at least for the moment. Ghost Ship Games promised more details about Deep Rock Galactic Season 6 next week, so mark your calendars.

The only other thing that we know Deep Rock Galactic Season 6 has in store for us is the Relic Raider DLC pack. With the running theme of this season, the Relic Raider cosmetic pack lets you channel your inner archeologist.
