The Arc Raiders Cold Snap update has swooped in, just like the bitter cold in many places, and it couldn’t have come any sooner. As the winter season grows colder, people are more inclined to stay inside where it’s warm and cozy. And what better way to spend that time inside than to play Arc Raiders?

The latest update, Arc Raiders Cold Snap, introduces content to the game that many fans have highly requested. Just like the growing cold outside your very home, this update has some chilling additions as well. Fortunately, you won’t have to feel the cold that your raider feels when out in the field, so let’s see what the new update has in store for us.

The Adjustments And Changes In The Arc Raiders Cold Snap Update

The patch notes of the Arc Raiders Cold Snap update are full of tiny changes and adjustments. These small changes include changing the Rattler’s magazine size from 10 to 12 and the Bettina’s magazine size from 20 to 22. Instead of listing all of these changes, we’ll only mention the significant changes and additions in the Arc Raiders Cold Snap update.

The first addition in the Arc Raider Cold Sanp update that we’ll talk about is the highly requested Skill Tree reset feature. Raiders can now respec their characters after realizing a skill they chose isn’t up to their standards. However, each skill point costs 2,000 coins to take back, so this new feature doesn’t mean a free reset whenever you’d like.

But raider customization doesn’t stop there because you can now customize your very own raider tool. Instead of the dull old metal grey, raiders can now customize their tools with a variety of colorful options. Maybe you can match your raider tool with the rest of your gear, but only time will tell.

This next addition is relatively small, but a small margin of raiders will still appreciate it. Raiders can now have their aim down sights function turned into toggle mode instead of hold. Your aiming finger can rest now, as long aiming periods can now be done with just a single click or press of a button.

The Arc Raiders Cold Snap Events

The Arc raiders Cold Snap update also added a couple of events that you can participate in for various prizes. These events are the Flickering Flames event and the Candleberry Banquet project. And to tie these two events together is the new map condition, called Cold Snap, the very name of the update.

The Flickering Flames event is similar to the event that happened right after the Breaking New Ground community event. You progress through the event and earn rewards with Merits that you can earn by playing the game. Raiders earn Merits by earning exp on any map they choose to play on, so have fun, and you can passively progress.

Now, the Candleberry Banguet project, on the other hand, is quite a bit different. This five-stage project, similar to the Expedition projects, grants you prizes with each completed stage. You contribute to each stage by scavenging specific items topside and collecting Candleberries present in the Cold Snap condition.

Players can earn extra Merits for the Flickering Flames event by completing each stage. Thus helping you progress the event alongside your standard progression by simply playing the game as usual.

Is That All For The Arc Raiders Cold Snap Update?

As mentioned earlier, we only mentioned the significant changes and additions of the Arc Raiders Cold Snap update. There are plenty more to speak of in the latest update, but to list them all would take ages. The best way to engage with the update isn’t to read about it anyway; it’s to play it.

So prepare your kit and wear a few extra layers; it’s going to be chilly topside for quite a while.
