As mentioned by Sony “Most of the gamers have upgraded to PS5 from PS4. The old PS4 game titles are going to be missed by fans. However, they will appear on PlayStation Plus Monthly Games and the Games Catalog”.

Apart from this, it is still unclear if Sony is going to add the PlayStation 4 game titles to the Classics catalog. It only includes PS4 titles but also remasters of PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3 games.

18 game titles are scheduled to be removed from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog. Some of the notable game titles are Red Dead Redemption-2, GTA San Andreas: The Definitive Edition, The Sims 4: City Living, Blasphemous, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, and many more Kingdom Hearts games.

The PS Plus games rotation system allows users to explore and play different and new games every month.

The PlayStation 4 came out on November 13, 2013. Since then, the console has been one of the best-selling devices of its time. Upon its launch, the consoled pushed its hyper-realistic graphics with titles like the Last of Us series, Marvel Spider-Man, and many more.

When Will PS4 Games Leave The PlayStation Plus Lineup?

With the lineup announcement for February 2025 on the PS Plus, Sony has also announced that it is going to focus on bringing out more PS5 titles on the PlayStation Plus.

Sony has claimed:

“The PS4 games already purchased by the gamers from the PlayStation Plus are going to remain intact as long as they remain a member of the service. But for Game Catalog, games will remain playable until they leave the catalog as it is a part of the monthly refresh.”

The removal of the games from PS Plus has received a mixed response from the gaming community. While some are supporting the step as they “look forward to playing on the new console”, others are sad to hear the news.

However, the majority wants this step to be taken for more users to gain a new gaming experience.
