Announced on July 7, 2025, Dead by Daylight The Walking Dead crossover is making its way soon. Fans are already guessing who will be joining the cast of horror icons, as they normally do each time.
The mixture of the two has been talked about for years now, with both sides wanting and asking every year. I’ll talk about what we know, what we don’t know, and who might be joining the fog in Dead by Daylight.
What Are We Getting With Dead by Daylight The Walking Dead Crossover?
While talks about survivors are going crazy, some may wonder who will join as a killer for the chapter. Sadly, with the roadmap for this year, we know that we’ll only be getting two survivors with the release.
This isn’t without hope, as with a new Rift, Dead by Daylight’s battlepass will also be coming with it. Many are thinking that the delay in changing it is so that it can be Walking Dead-themed.
There’s one thing that isn’t talked about in the notes for the next test build, who we’ll be getting. This leaves everyone wondering and excited, as we are getting two fan-favorite characters added with six new perks tied to them.
We also know that with the release, we may be getting a Walking Dead-themed modifier to the game. It’ll be tied with the randomizer modifier, which will randomize everything at the start of the game, characters included!
With all that talk about what’s coming, let’s spend some time talking about who those two survivors may be. This isn’t easy, as most licensed characters tend to be alive when taken, so there are many to choose from.
Who Might Be Joining?
Let’s start with Glenn Rhee, who died in season seven on episode one, which was watched by many. Glenn Rhee’s death would make it easy to pull him into Dead by Daylight, and he’s a fan favorite.
Carl Grimes is next and would make a sad but great survivor due to his story and death in the show. He chose to take his own life in season eight episode nine, after getting bitten by a walker zombie.
Negan Smith can’t be ignored, as even though alive, he plays such a big part in The Walking Dead. This is one of those that fans would cry over not being added, as he is such a well-written and loved character.
Maggie Greene may also be added instead, as she is a protagonist in the new show called Dead City in the Walking Dead franchise. This would help put more spotlight on the show, as season two of it will also be released soon.
